As you have with posts in the forum, you need some way of alerting the site managers to inappropriate comments on blogs. Some sort of reporting process, either at the comment level or perhaps at the page level.

Apologies for the delay. It seems someone has already taken care of that spammy comment.
Currently, it’s the author themselves who get alerted if there are new comments. They get emailed and if they see spam comments, of course they would have the power to delete them.
The forum moderators also have access to it but more often than not, they’re more focused on the forums and not the blog post comments. So it’s usually when we happen to see these comments or someone tells us (in this particular case - you!).
I agree with you that we need some kind of reporting system also for the community to alert the moderators.
I’ll see what I can do in that department although I can’t really promise anything for now.
