Books on Price Action and Candlesticks

Can anyone suggest the best books on

A) Price Action

B) Candlesticks

What stage of trading are you at? or what level of understanding. The only reason I ask is that if you are very new, there is a section in the babypips school here that is dedicated to candlesticks, it is a very good introduction and its free. No point spending pennies if you can get the info for free :slight_smile:

Also…(sorry for the second post) for information on Price Action, again don’t go racing to spend your money, there are several threads on PA in this community that are stacked to the gunnels with information. Any of ICT’s threads for instance. Here are a couple of the best IMO in the community, 301 Moved Permanently is one of the newer threads, but this one is full of great info too 301 Moved Permanently The community is full of great threads, look around and chances are you will find all the info you need.

I have to agree with you, this forum truly is a goldmine for forex information, and I enjoy reading it.
Sometimes though, I do get sidetracked by other elements of trading and forget what I was originally trying to find out! :slight_smile:

I actually don’t mind spending a few pounds on a book if it is recognised as an authority on a subject, I just look at it as investing in my education. I’m pretty fascinated by how charts work, and enjoy soaking up undilluted information from a book while reclining in my favourite chair.

While forums are great for gaining new perspectives, discussing ideas and seeking advice, for me, it is easier to feel like I have digested the full breadth of a subject if I’ve read it from cover to cover, rather than trying to fit pieces of info together like a jigsaw, hoping no pieces are missing.

Re what stage I’m at, I’m still very new, only discovered it in August last year, absolutely fascinated by it, have gone through the school once and refer to it as required while demo trading with mixed success (down to 90% of opening balance after three months :-/) I’ve got a lot to learn, and am trying to drop bad habits as quickly as I pick them up!, hence why I’m trying to swot up on as much info as possible.

Other books on my bedside table are;

Complete Turtle Trader
Enhancing Trader Performance
Millionaire Traders

Some more on price action and candlesticks would be great!
