im using a demo account on Oanda and this thing keeps happening which wasnt hapening before
when i send an order for a trade (either long or short), the damn order ends up a few pips away from where its suppose to be … this leads to my profit being in the negative from the second i open the trade
pic below will illustrate what im talking about if youre having trouble understanding

How else do you think a broker pays for their services?
There are two prices at any given time. You buy at ask, and sell at bid. So you’ll always be in the hole to start because the first few pips go to the broker regardless of you winning or losing.
2.2 pips… that would be the spread. When you execute an order it is placed with the spread in place first which you have to move out of before moving into profit. That’s how it works with about any broker that uses a spread.
