Bye to Forex

I got lot of insult from FOREX ,not only i got that as an add up i lost huge amount of Money on top of that Time , so,i’ve decided to give forex away for good .

Forex means spending huge amount of time. Thank you babypips and bye all

Hmm… ‘huge amounts of money’. How many times have I already seen this posted and will again! It takes time and dedication to get good at anything… FX is certainly no different.

Three words of advise to anyone embarking on this journey… practise, practise and practise some more in demo FIRST! Only when you’ve made all the rookie mistakes, have obtained or developed a strat of your own that is consistantly profitable should you go live and then dip your toe in the water with a small bank roll.

Uh, no offense linkin, but don’t you think it’s just a ‘tad’ too soon to give up (given that, judging from your previous and only other post, you started in October)??? Hell: it took me ‘three and a bit’ years before I could even come close to ‘treading water’ CONSISTENTLY (I’m not talking about the occasional ‘windfalls’). Although in hindsight: this could very well have been accomplished in a fraction of the time if I didn’t think I was so ‘smart’ back then!!!

Anyway: if you DO come back and read these posts don’t be afraid to ASK QUESTIONS AND NOTE THE ANSWERS (you didn’t really ‘interact’ much did you)??? It IS ‘possible’!!! Well I should say that TRADING is ‘possible’ but some markets are more ‘possible’ than others!!! LOL!!!

Regards,

Dale.

Time and pressure… and a lot of both

Well he’s got the jump on us there… why anyone would post their ‘words of wisdom’ only to be largely ignored or pilloried or BOTH is beyond me. I speak of course as a plus 1K poster! :D:D:D

Not you Matt. I was refering to my own inferiortiy complex or should that be persecution complex?

Is there any hindsights you could give us to have a chance of cutting down on that 3 and a bit years? (maybe next year is a bit ambitious of me ::eek:

Yes. Beg, borrow or steal a good strat. They are out there hidden in all the weeds. That alone will knock years off your learning curve. Then you will need three months in demo to fully understand how and when to trade it.

But how do I tell if it’s a good strategy or a weed?

Good point! Perhaps by not judging the book by its cover but by its author. There are a handful of talented peeps on this forum and a few others. A few really do make a good living trading. Why reinvent the wheel when the time can be better spent emulating the winners.

Hello,

Well first: I’m only too pleased to help you out (FOR NOTHING)!!!

To answer your LAST question:

PAPER TRADE the system (and that means LITERALLY taking a chart, with the system, and writing down on paper each and every single trade with profits and losses).

As for the rest:

I have detailed, on my ‘new’ blog, two (what I believe to be) ‘fine’ mechanical (technical) trading systems. Take a look if you like: Technical Trading Systems. The only reason I started a seperate blog for these things is because some forums are ‘sticky’ about posting links to OTHER trading websites and for some or the other reason they allow links to independant blogs. I am, however, quite happy (if anyone is interested) to start threads here for these two systems (and another one to follow shortly).

Trust me: it’s ‘trade by number’ (‘paint by number’???) and as long as you do not try to ‘second guess’ the systems you’ll be just fine (BUT THAT BEING SAID: in order to put your mind at ease PAPER TRADE the systems first).

I’m happy to answer any questions / discuss the systems either there or here.

Regards,

Dale.

Good point:

Perhaps by not judging the book by its cover but by its author.

In my case:

Authors are J. Welles Wilder Jnr. and Kathy Lien and Boris Schlossberg!!! LOL!!! There has to be some credibility there!!!

Dale.

As someone already pointed out, linkin was stating he was a newbie just a month ago and now he is giving up because he has lost lots of money. I’m not sure why you risked so much with only a month from when you learned about it. What happened to demo? It may be better that you do not persist in trading as you don’t seem to be very patient. Good luck with whatever you do decide to do.

Hello Viper5,

Long time no ‘see’ around these parts??? How’re you doing???

And WHY should linkin be the one to get away without ‘losing his shirt’??? He has got a LONG WAYS to go before he can simply ‘opt out’!!! LOL!!!

Whenever I read posts of this nature I’m always reminded of a statement made by purplepatchforex on another thread a while ago:

Well, first of all you got to learn to walk the walk and talk the talk, and thereafter it’s more or less all downhill.

ROFLMAO!!!

Dale.
