Can it be done?

This is my newbie concern

MTI (market traders institute) is here in Trinidad and Tobago, and did a very good presentation and I am sure a lot of people will sign up.

the cost is over 3k. My question is… how many of you started from scratch
and used babypips and other cheaper alternatives with success

Should I try it on my own, or save myself the trouble and go with MTI and their guidance.

I am just unsure how good is mti’s educational system and if i will be able to make back my 3k+

Rina.

Hello Rina,
I think you’d be better off using babypips and the endless resources found on the internet to educate yourself. Then you can apply what you learn and practise on free demo accounts.

Once I went to a free presentation on “How to Make Money on the Internet” … it cost $3k as well  I didn’t sign up but someone else I knew did and now they wish they didn’t. I already have a website and was amazed at how much I’d taught myself for free when pumping this person for what they got out of it.

There is a live mentor (James) here in the 40-100 pips per day thread, who does charge a small fee, and if his schedule fits yours, then you may benefit much more that way for a lot less.

Don’t get sucked into the pretty packaging that says if it’s expensive, then it must be good, and use your 3K for when you are ready to trade live.

It can be done on your own for FREE unless you’re just too lazy to learn and trade yourself, or if you don’t enjoy it.

Well, I am going to give it a shot on my own and see how that goes.

i will definitely check out james in a few weeks tims

Yes, I for one got sucked into the expensive course when I started and it was no good. The best way to learn imho is to read, read, read every thing you can find and practise for a long time? Good luck

Rina, you can do it by your own, you only need time and dedication! ive been learning from my own since April and im doing well so far!

Rina definatly stick around here and do it on your own. Don’t let the free babypips school fool you into thinking coz its free its not worth it. Ive done a ton of research and Ive looked into alot of mentoring type programs and online courses and all of them teach about the same basic stuff. So my advice learn all the fundamental stuff here. Babypis.com is by far the best school on the internet and by far the best place to learn and its 100% free. It never gets any better than that.

Ask lots of questions we are friendly and most of us enjoy to help. There is so many great traders here that want to give back coz most of us learned on our own and it was invaluable teaching of other great traders that taught us.

and so the cycle continues, hopefully when you get to be a top notch trader, then give back with your feedback and your wisdom

Rina it definitely can be done with free resources like babypips. There is a lot of other places you can get the knowledge.
From my experience the knowledge is not the most important thing in Forex. The most important thing is your personal traits. If your develop discipline and put your emotions under control you are doomed to become successful. You will be able to be profitable even with an average trading system.
That’s just my personal opinion.

You can do it on your own!!

If those idiots hyping the $3k course or whatever really had something to offer, they would be sitting home (or on their yachts) trading … not runnning around the world trying to sell their useless product!!!

Think about it

You can do it & we are all here to help! Also check out Alternative Technical Strategies threads … anything posted by Jo or Tess.

anything posted by Jo or Tess.

Don’t forget Jimmymac or Tonymand. They are both phenomanal!!!

heres the link. 4xstar is right this in my opinion is theee best thread ever, and even though the concepts are hard to grasp after a while you will marvel at its simplicity and most important its profitability.

It’s also good to try and figure out how you learn best before you start. I’m the type of guy who learns much more with a book and trial and error, I don’t particularly learn that well with other people trying to teach me. I know other people who can’t seem to learn anything on their own, but can really pick stuff up with someone else showing them the way.

BTW I joined the James IB group for a few days last week and it was very beneficial for me to see someone who knows what they are doing going about their business…
