Can somebody help with moving my mt4 from one computer to another please

I bought a new computer and have no clue how to move my mt4 platform with all my templates and indicators can anybody help me with that and walk me threw I greatly appreciated it

Glad to help.

On your old computer:

  1. Goto C:\Program Files\MetaTrader\experts
    Copy the indictor and templates folder
    MT4 moving.jpg700×236 19.2 KB

  2. Paste these onto a USB drive

On your new computer:

  1. Download and install MT4
  2. Insert your USB drive into your new computer and copy the the indicator and templates folders
  3. Paste the Indictor and templates folders into the following location:
    C:\Program Files\MetaTrader\experts

I’d advise copy/pasting the complete ‘experts’ folder (with all subfolders), as well as folders ‘config’, ‘templates’, and ‘profiles’; when pasting it into the MT4 on your new computer, you’ll be prompted to specify what action you want to take: choose ‘copy & replace all’.
This should ensure all your settings/profiles/templates as well as EAs, indicators, and scripts will be available.

it’s really easy. what i’ll do in your case is i simply copy the whole mt4 folder (c:\program files\mt4-or-whatever-u-call-it) and paste it anywhere in your new computer. once copied over, look for the terminal.exe file, that’s what you will double click to get your mt4 running again.
