Can´t load .ex4 file in MetaTrader 4....?

Hi Everyone,

I have a .ex4 file (EA) that I want to run in metatrader 4. But I get the error "cannot load ‘C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\MetaQuotes\Terminal\29FED6C2367D8CBB9BA6CF86FC1412E1\MQL4\Experts\Market\name EA.ex4’. I’ve copied to the Data -> MQL4 -> Experts folders as per usual, it shows up in my navigator but when I drag to a chart nothing happens…no settings window, no unhappy face - nada. Autotrading is allowed and I can see the .ex4 file in File > Open Data Folder > MQL4 > Experts.
I downloaded another EA and that works fine, also the EA´s already build in MT4 works also fine.

What could be the problem and how to fix it?

I have a MetaTrader version 4.00 build 1090 on a Windows 2008 computer (64-bit operating system). Before it worked fine on a MT4 build 1080 and Windows 2003 system.

Please tell me what can I do to fix this problem…

It seems the error might be with this particular EX4 file. Have you tried reaching out to the EA provider?

are you sure it is an EA
not an indicator?

is the beginning like this?
