Hellow guys i need more explanations about these terms

  1. Higher highs
  2. Lower highs
  3. Higher lowa
  4. Lower lows
Any explanation will be appreciated and how can i spot them on the chart…???
What are the characteristics on them

Higher high (HH) means the highest price of the current period is higher than the highest price of the previous period.

Lowest low (LL) means the lowest price of the current period is lower than the lowest price of the previous period.

Just flip the picture for lower high (LH) and higher low (HL).

By definition, an uptrend is in place when there’s two HH and HL. Likewise, two LL and LH signify a downtrend.

If you have difficulty identifying them in the chart, you can try the zigzag indicator.

Today’s AUDUSD D1 Chart shows a good example of HH and HL before price breaks the trendline.
