I downloaded an EA and pasted it to the Oanda MT4 Experts folder in my C: drive, then opened opened up the MT4 platform, expecting to find the EA listed in the Navigator window. However it was not there.
I checked that the EA is a .ex4 file but I am otherwise lost for an explanation.
Babypips has a great explanation which I followed exactly, but it was also referring to MetaTraderMT4,
Does the EA have to be “installed” into Navigator in some way?
I would really appreciate all suggestions.
Thank you in anticipation.
That should do the the trick. If you have more than one platform installed, it might be that you’ve copied it to the ea folder of another platform, so that’s the reason it’s not showing on the MT4… this happened to me… if not just find a tutorial on youtube, and do the whole thing again step by step…
Cheers
Click on File on your platform > Open Data Folder and drop in the MQL4
I had this problem once due to my PC double create apps for different users. (Other than the Admin account we created, our PC got a hidden Admin account.)
That did it! Fantastic!!
Thank you Glennmaru, your solution was perfect.
I would never have figured that one out.
Thank you to everyone who offered their thoughts.
