Catch up news

I tried to do my trade with news but before getting news market finished his move.I cant caught anything.
Can anyone suggest me which could be great source to get the news earlier.
Please help me.

Hi Skyboys007,
I got the same problem which i sorted in this way:
go on babypips calendar ( great tool ), select the event that you are willing to “trade”, it will depend on the currency involved, your style and so on, then open the selected even: here it is were the babypips calendar cames handy: you get the direct link to the source ( the most of the time) so you can get that info the very moment everybody do ( the one not insiders, of course…) . Well, this is what I do, any better advice?

I am not familiar with any source to get the news earlier but I visit Bloomberg for any breading and latest market news.

if you really want to trade the news before it gets priced in you need a Reuters or Bloomberg terminal or other news wire service. If you dont have one you will not get the news as its released and will always behind.

Are you saying that, you tried trading NEWS ? then please do not do that unless you have a very strong grip on the fundamental analysis n such. I got burned trying to trade the news. From your words, i see that you have just started the forex journey, my advise would be, try to learn about price action or whatever strategy that suits your personality instead of focussing on the news…

I get the news at the time in which they are expected. For example CPI (CAD) at 13.30, I get the result at 13.30. Do you think with Reuters or Bloomberg I can get it sooner than 13.30?

Yes the result will be the same, but its how fast you see it. A terminal or wire feed service would get it to you as soon as it was released, this is the system that the reporters read from to tell you on the news. Its really a matter of seconds, if you are 10 seconds late to the reports, the reaction to the news has already begun. I have used wire service before and you see the report before either FF or other calender tells you to refresh or by actual tv or streaming news. I dont know what your planning to do with the news but if your planning on using the speed of news to execute trades based on the number reported then that’s going to be a tough one. What are you planning to do with that info?

I am particularly profitable in this period, +70,99% last 5 weeks, but I love to learn and I’d like to add scalping on the news as a weapon on my side. I currently have a 4-digit account (in euros) and with 15% per month I’ll get a 5-digit account before 2013, do you know the prices to get bloomberg (or other ways) news? Do you think I’m still too small to subscribe? thanks a lot

I get my economic calender and news releases from my broker for free. I think you can get anywhere in the web, just Google it, if your broker doesn’t provide it (I think they should). My broker is Forex.com. I always plan every 2 weeks even for a month head of what news releases I should trade base on my research and my experience from my previous trade.

Good luck!

yes but you can read news with a delay of 10 or 15 seconds and the news is already doing its effect and probably you get a different spread. MeiHua said I can get news without delay (even if it is of seconds), I’d like to know the price

I believe Bloomberg terminal is 1500 USD per month. I have no idea about Reuters, however there are upgrades and discounts based on number of licensees accounts etc etc. but that’s the baseline.
