CFDs on Indices Price Quote Differences

Hi.

Why are Deltastock’s price quotes on CFDs on Indices always different from those of most (if not all) other brokers and in some cases nowhere near the prices quotes shown on Bloomberg or CNBC or on other sources e.g. Yahoo Money (to name but one)???

Regards,

Dale.

When you were working for DeltaStock? Does that mean you are not working for them anymore ?

Hey. How’ve you been???

Yep. That’s it (well sort of anyway).

Regards,

Dale.

Please note that price quotes on Index CFDs in Deltastock’s platforms are LIVE, while the quotes you are referring to – the ones on websites like Bloomberg, CNBC, or Yahoo Money – are only indicative, and often they come 20 to 30 minutes late, as is noted on the websites themselves. To get these quotes LIVE, one must purchase a subscription.

Regarding the streaming quotes on CNBC TV, please be advised that US index prices shown there are the prices of the futures on indexes and not the index price quoted on the exchange itself. Deltastock provides you with Bid and Ask quotes for spot-traded CFD on indices. Please differentiate between a futures price and a spot price.
The index on the stock exchange (no matter which exchange it is) is calculated on the basis on share prices, and there is no Bid and Ask price on any exchange; the price is just indicative.

In order to get in further details, we as Deltastock cannot afford to quote prices differing from the market prices quoted by other brokers, because this will create an opportunity of arbitrage and we will be the losing side as a result of it.
