Changing charts on MT4

I am new to the forex scene and am trying to practice before I jump in with real money.

I am trying to set up charts on MT4 and when I try to change it from a bar chart to a candlestick chart it does nothing, it remains a bar chart but indicates on the tool bar that it has changed to a candlestick chart. Is there a different way I am supposed to do this? I will be using MT4 charts and trading with OANDA. Thanks!

So… I figured it out. turns out the chart looked like it was displaying in bar format because it was zoomed out to much making the candles look like bars. Zoomed in a little, problem solved.

On ac-markets site there is a free chart tool that doesn�t need installation, it is very easy to download&to use, maybe that one works 4u�
