Chat rooms and/or real time collaboration

Are there any recommendations on a chat room or an active real time collaboration area where traders can discuss trade ideas or rationale for certain positions?

Forums I feel are good for short theory related topics. However, it often gets difficult to discuss certain trades and improve on understanding.

Being able to along side other traders ans ask questions would be good.

Nobody wants to put in the work. EVERYBODY wants to be spoon fed. I say that without apology.

Study and learn to make your own decisions!

haha. I get it. Some people want collaboration because they’re unsure of their decisions and want other people’s input. Sometimes, that just means ¨can someone please tell me what to do, so I can make money!¨

To each his own, right? But the bottom line is that there are no shortcuts. If you take signals from someone, you’re making money but you’re not learning as much as doing it on your own.

And you become dependent on others instead of becoming self-reliant.

Collaboration with others can be helpful as long as you’re critiquing each other and learning.

Hahaha you mean “choo choo, here comes the money train”. Personally I was more of a “neeeeeow, here comes the aeroplane” kinda kid.

Anyway, I totally get what your saying and am not looking to simply copy and not not learn. I don’t see the point of blindly doing something just because somebody said to do it - imagine losing money off the back of it. At least if I end up losing money off a trade, I only have myself to blame.

The reason for my original post was because I’m the kind of person who prefers to ask questions in order to ensure I’ve understood what I’m doing rather just nod and say yes but not have a clue of what’s going on.

Whist practising, I suppose I can take a snapshot of a potential trade and post my thinking behind it here. Then receive comments on whether or not I was thinking correctly or if I was wayyy off.

This is a great site and forum hence appreciate the feedback and knowledge of everyone involved here.

This is a good way to get feedback, but you will get all sorts of advice because there are so many trading styles. Some will tell you you should have gone short at that supply zone, or long at that support area, or to stay out because the RSI and Stochastics are contradicting each other.

This is a great place for advice and there are some good traders here, but you need to be able to filter out some of that advice to suit your trading strategy and style.

It is a long road to success, but keep practicing and asking those questions and you’ll get there.

@MattyMoney pretty much said it all. Post your pics and see what people say.

But you have to figure out on your own what is best for you. You’re the only one at your computer at the buy/sell button. It’s your money. You’re the boss.

Start a journal thread of your trades!
