Classic Pivot Point Indicator Does Not Match BabyPips Pivot Point Calculation

Hi everyone,

I download PivotPoint indicator for MT4 but the indicator doesn’t match BabyPips Pivot Calculation. I provided the details below:

  1. I loaded my pivot point on EURGBP H4. High: 0.86490. Low: 0.86389. Close: 0.86402

  2. The indicator located PP at 0.86478 (floor)

  1. BabyPips calculator gives me a floor of 0.86427 which doesn’t match the indicator’s PP: 0.86478

  2. Please note that pivot point indicator (Pivot Timeframe indicator) settings is set to Classic Method.

Did I calculate it wrongly? or is the Indicator defected? Do you have any MT4 pivot point indicator that goes along with BabyPips calculator.

Any advice will be appreciated.

not you did not nothing wrong , this only one of the thousands things created to confuse people , like somebody said : don’t trace your lines with a pencil , better with a tick crayon … both floor pivots are in range so don’t worry my friend !:grinning:

I found it the answer. Pivot calculation are based on “previous” candle, not current candle. I was calculating based on current candle.
