Hello. I have a question on a trade I’m doing. The commission is $4. I placed a trade and once candle broke even with my bid line it should have stated that I was -$4 for commission. Like some of the other trades have been. However it stated that i was -9 and some change. What is this? Should i be looking for a different broker or is this to be expected and im forgetting to add something? Thank you for your time.
It’s quite possible the commission is $4 per side of the trade, so $8 in total. Look for the term ‘round trip’ or ‘each side’ on your broker fees document.
Add your floating spread to this and it’s probably what your looking at.
Is this 4$ per round turn or half turn? Is the spread included in the commission? Are there any mark ups? Check these things with the customer support of your broker as honestly I can’t think of any other reason for this. The most logical explanation should be as RISKonFX already pointed out, the commission for half turn should be 4$ + the spread. Do you have any significant experience with your broker so far?
