Hello everyone.
Apologies if this is not the right part of the forum to post this. I could not find a more suitable section.
Access to my VPS (CNS) is via RDP protocol. CNS offers also a web access, but in reality they just give an IP to their RDP, hence the network protocol is still RDP. The same options offer my broker (Alpari UK).
At my work the firewall/internet proxy blocks the RDP and all non standard ports, so if I try to run an MT4 client directly on my workstation it cannot establish a connection to the outside world also.
I am wondering if anyone knows of any product or service that uses known ports (preferably https) to connect to the VPS or the broker directly.
I am thinking of smth like an external proxy server that accepts HTTP or HTTPs connections and converts them into RDP for connection to the VPS or Alpari. It is important that it converts the connection, not just forwards it to the VPS or broker as HTTP or HTTPS (because otherwise it will be then turn into an RDP between my workstation and the VPS/broker and be stopped by the company proxy).
Do you happen to know of any existing service like that?
As a last resort I am thinking of, perhaps, setting up an SSH channel to my home machine and connecting to the VPS or Alpari via it, but it is also not a very easy task as SSH is most likely blocked by the company proxy for outside connections.
At the moment I use my laptop and mobile phone to connect to the VPS, but this means I have to lag it with me all the time and the speed of the connection sucks too.
I appreciate your help.
