Daily Pivots Indicator for MT4

Hi Folks,

I’ve been trading spot FX for the last 3 years and I’ve written quite a lot of indicators in MQL4. I’m looking to improve my daily pivots indicator so I’d welcome any comments or suggestions anyone may have. I’ve attached the executable file for anyone who would like to try it.

To run it, just copy it into …expert/indicators. Open the Editor (F4) then open any EA or Indicator and click “compile”. This will make my indicator appear in the custom indicators folder in Navigator. Then just drag and drop it onto your chart.

I came accross an FX tool software vendor called ‘FXAlgotrader’ who has taken pivot systems a few stages further than the system which I put together.

They’ve got daily, monthly, weekly, historical pivots systems and also some pivot software which has some kind of price proximity alerts too. You can trial the system free of charge which sounds fair enough to me.

I’m trialling the Daily Pivots V2 Alerts Plus System which seems pretty good so far.

Do you guys happens to have a “straight” Pivot lines indicator like this?

Yes, no problem our basic Daily Pivots Version 1 system will quite happily provide a basic pivots calculation and display module.

The Pivot systems are all fully configurable in terms of line length, colour, price/proximity alerts within trader defined thresholds etc.

The V2 systems have a time adjustable calculation algorithm and the more sophisticated systems have multi-level price/proximity alerts.

I found a nice strat by Urban Forex, who btw seem to have disappeared, that uses thge daily pivots of three days. Anyone knows a pivot that doesn’t disappear after the day is over?
