Daily trading or only trading on Big News coming out?

Hi all Friend Traders
I have a question like that “ Is better for us to get and accumulate profits from daily trading or we’d rather wait for Big News Event coming out to trade because at this time, the chart go fast, if we have good set up, we can get profit fast also and save the time not to wait our trade finish target like daily trading? Which one do you think better for us to trade?
Thanks for your adivces :blush:

My advice would be do not day-trade.

I also think like that but I’m still scare when trading on special events. One set up wrong is easy to get our account burn out

In my opinions, trading news likes a double-edged sword, since it’s fast to make profit if your set up match with market condition at that time. Otherwise, it’s really worse if your SL can’t be trigged as you set (it usually happens when the price goes too fast), in this case it could be a big lost. So I don’t expect much on trading with big News.

It really depends on what suits you and your lifestyle. As far as Big News Events take place, that’s history once it reaches you and all retail traders. The large financial institutions have already taken their positions, because the grapevine is always open to them.

I’m quite comfortable with day trading the 4hr chart which must align to the Daily chart trend.

For me, fx trading is not a means to make a quick $$, so I do both: I normally day trade & also trade some high volitility news events, so I continue learning not only about the markets, but moreso about myself.
I say this just after gaining some good pips on the FOMC a few minutes ago, with all the glory to my God of course.
I don’t see why I should limit myself to just one or the other, but you should do what makes you the more happy.
Trading just the big events is not for me.

@Panda_Forex.
May I suggest that you increase your timeframe to avoid volitility of the price moving too fast during the news events.
I had the same problem and increasing my time frame worked well for me. (Try it next time on demo first of course)… hope this helps.
