I find difficult to control the day or overall drawdown. How do you guys manage it being a prop firm?
By following your trading plan every day! Of course having a profitable strategy is a must.
I was down 4.5% on my 25K challenge, I was gonna say “&$#k it” and go on Tilt…
However found a YouTuber, saying keep your trading, but drop your Lot Size!!!, I did and I started winning again… Now I am back to Break Even at $25K, it was a tough 3 weeks, to make it back. Now I know what I did wrong, and I know I can pass phase 1, now that I survived a 4.5% drawdown. Fix your Lot size, Fix your Psychology…
Lets Go!!!
If dealing with drawdown at a prop firm feels challenging, I recommend starting with strict risk management. Risk no more than 0.5% per trade to leave some room in case the day doesn’t go well. It’s important to have a clear plan and stop trading once you hit your daily limit.
For example, I trade with axi select. There, it’s not just about making profits but also about following the rules and managing risks. Maintaining discipline and sticking to your plan will help you achieve consistent results
What lot size were you trading?
