Much much appreciation from here :21:
And a word for easypiper, first- good luck with the very nice site! (carefully choosing my words here
I would like to ask you as a mentor, each one of us would like of course to develop his/her own skills and knowledge,
so… in this ocean of trend forms, indicators, price action strategies, fundamental analysis and etc… from your experience what is the healthy base to start with? even a book name or a general subject would be great - especially because it will be from you!
have the best
Hello Easypiper, I’ve had a bad two weeks and lost a little money on a mini-account after trying two different strategies. Well, what can I say, I’m willing to try out your signals and see what happens. Looking forward to your post. David
Never try a new strategy in a live account, ever. What do you think backtesting an demo accounts are supposed to be?
Hi EasyPiper, I just graduated from babypips school and really interested on your system. I lost quite a lot of money because of not using stop loss in one night, I felt really stupid. I tried to trade news to get my money back but I lost even more Now I am back to demo while studying forex properly. Btw I lived in Hamburg since 2012 and I am learning German language, it is quite complicated, not as straight forward as forex :p
So basically you graduated from the school and immediately do the opposite of what you’ve learned in a live account, right? hum…
Hi Niro,
at first it is very important to understand which kind of trader you are. This is the most important thing in my opinion. To trade is like a job and not like a game. Everyone who think, that it is like a game will only loose money. Imagine someone is searching a job, but dont nows what he wants to do. He tries to be a busdriver, but he hasnt a driving license and because of this maybe he make a exident at first working day and hates busdriving. Then he want to try to be a baker, but even dont knows how to make bread. After the first day he hates to make this job because he dont has sucess. And so on… He never will find a job if he dont learn and find out what he really wants.
I thing, that the biggest problem is that the most people when they are new in trading business they try everything, but nothing really good with heart and power. So they trading every timeframe, trying every indicators. Sometimes they read about a strategy which needs to look at the charts when London session beginns, sometimes they trade after NY session and so on. … But they never learned this strategy really and deeply and then they loosing money. Very often they using strategys, which are to big or to timeintensive, and so they never will use this strategys in the right way.
For example: You have to know, how many time you have at day, when you have time to trade, how many you can invest and so on. For me it is so: I dont have time to look the whole day on my charts. And I dont want it. Therefore I dont use small timeframes but big timesframes. I have every evening 1 to 2 hours time for my charts. I analyse my charts every day and trade confident. That is important. Of course if you have the possibillity to sit the whole day in fornt of your PC it exists a few very good strategys for 15 min timeframe… But my experience: Dont trade with small timeframes, if you are not a proffessional institutional trader. With small timeframes and small stoplosses you will be crazy because of all the noises in the market. The big trader and banks are eating us small fishes as breakfast you understand? Because of this please trade big timeframes like h4 or daily.
If you found out which kind of trader you are, you have to find your strategy. Use simple charts which are not overloaded.
For every Chart and trade you wnat to make at first draw Reistence and support and trend lines. Please do this self and dont use indicators for such things, becasue it dont exists indicators, which see what you can see with your eyes and brain I personally love to use the next higher timeframe to do this.
Then learn thow to use the most important indicators, like MACD, Stochastics, TDI, ATR and built up your own strategy. you can use forums, where people mad this always and learn from these guys. Make it comfortable for you! You have to learn to love your strategy! Also when you loose sometimes.
Therefore you have to trade demo demo and demo. After you are comfortable and confident, start with live trading and small money and feel how easy trading can be.
I thought al lot of how to help you and how to built up my website in future. I thing the best thing is to use skyperoom as discussion platform in future. My signals I will send via Email, so that everyone get it at the same time. And then in Skype or video chat I will explain why I do every trade, so you can see what I do and learn. But this a lot of work and I will do this after I built up my website and my service. Then we will have a great mentor programm I thing and a great group where we can discuss everyday everything. But this is future…
The last importnat thing is to have targetts. You have to know, what you want from trading and how you will catch this target.
I know, that is not much, but I hope this helps you a bit to find your place in market
Great advice man… When you write down “hard work”, “discipline” and “patience” 90% of people left the thread, you know… it’s not your fault. It’s epidemic in Fx.
Dear easypiper, thank you for the comprehensive answer. Its clear that you: 1 - speak from experience 2 - would like us all to succeed :).
As I see it the best answers will be given only trough time and experience, so choosing the right steps is important and you explained very well.
Personally I have a small account and I use leverage of 0.01 to be able to keep experiencing without big losses,
I take half of my position of after achieving first TP point and of course I use the great move to BE EA which pierjobs posted earlier on the thread.
But… although I enjoy the deep learning that trading takes, sometimes I feel the need for guidance, what you wrote about self analyzing the support/resistance and the bunch of important indicators is a great info that its good to get!
I would like on this opportunity to share with the dear members here this: push me as a basic explanation that i found useful.
(hint: try their other tutorials to).
easypiper thanks again, hope to walk a fruitful way with you! :57:
