I was having some trouble earlier this morning with orders being completed. but as I leave mine opening all the time don’t notice if it loads slow or not. I have a freind who was having alot of problems geting his to load and contacted them and they did some maintenance on his and got it doing alot better. Best To you…
I have never had trouble with Dealbook.
Still, some posters last week had trouble loading with another broker.
That was eventually fixed.
I don’t know how to answer this one. Check your firewalls and internet virus.
I hope you can solve it - sounds like a telephone call to the server is necessary.
My server comes from Australia - so I don’t know if I can help you.

Just a couple of other thoughts-
You may have to uninstall the program (control panel) then reload it again.
You can also re boot your computer.
At last resort, I can email you the extract for the version that I use - it is trouble free.
The very worst is that you may have to reformat your computer.
Yes I have done that a lot of times.
I use XP, not Vista.
I do not know if that could be a problem.
Another thought!
You may need to clean out your charts.
That is remove all of you charts so that you have only blank.
It is possible that underneath the charts are other charts and new order windows that were never closed sometime in the past.
I have found such to be true for me.
yes something is very wrong but this is not the first time this is happening with them
I’m online with them now, I think they’re stumped. They’re having me install the beta version now. That’s never good.

I was kind of suspecting their server too. I’ve got 2 computers and it’s doing it on both, and my internet connection is fine. They have me running a tracer program right now to tell them what’s going on. We’ll see what they say.
I gotta hand it to them, I believe these guys are really trying to help. They’re not just blaming my computer or connection or anything. They were with me via live chat all morning and into the afternoon.

After much trouble and frustration, I may have it solved.
The tracer showed I was being blocked from their servers, so I called my ISP and asked them if this particular feed was being filtered. He checked into it and called me back saying yes indeed they did a security update last week concerning P2P streams and I got caught up in it. They say they’ll have me going by tomorrow noon. Too late for tomorrows trading though.:rolleyes:
This is frustrating because I asked them that very question last week and got no as an answer. (Things happen differently here in Cayman, you need be lucky enough to find someone motivated to get up out of their chair)
So kudos to the tech support at GFT, they did a good job in helping me resolve my situation.

Some of the ISP’s here in Australia are much worse.
In fact we have quite a few of them that are bad.
You can wait for up to an hour before the phone answers.
Then they are trained to tell you rubbish just to get rid of you and off their phones!!
The internet in Australia is about the worst in the world.
Hope you get it solved quickly now.
Your problem explains why I have never had Dealbook problems.
I am with one of the the best ISP’s in Australia - Westnet which actually gives excellent service and is very helpful.
This may change Tymen as unfortunately Westnet has been bought by iinet and I left them after being on hold for 57 mins for a routine query
There’s a beta version of Dealbook that they had me install. I’m not sure what the changes are though, maybe compatibility with Vista. When I get the time I’ll go back and read about it. It seems to be working alright.

Today when I started the program… the indicators did not print in the two five minute charts. I have two five minute charts for each of three pairs…
I tried to change the time frame so as to load new data to see if that would get the indicators to print… and sure enough that worked on one of the charts and that hung my machine…
I can not say whether that is a software problem or a machine problem.
I’d like to share my experience also.
10 days ago i was completely blocked. I couldn’t even login !
After multiple chat with technical support from GFT, they told me the problem was my ISP (Orange). When i get back to them, they admit the URL gftforex was blocked. Well, i don’t know the real reason but it may come from blacklist or whatever. It has been corrected from my ISP after 2 days !!
This leads me to say that THANKS THE S/L !!!
You can have so many reason not to be able to see your trade that you HAVE TO be careful and set all the system to prevent you from loosing everything.
I have also to say that it is often happening that my chart isn’t drawn anymore when i change the scale of X axis with the mouse. I’m not even talking about the fact that it is drawn but you don’t know where it is … The zoom of MT4 is better because it always focus on the price.

Yes I know Tony.
Reports on iinet, especially with naked DSL are absolutely shocking.
I have heard nothing good about iinet.

I am going to switch to Amnet.
They are in Perth and are offering great deals and their service is good.
Internode is also excellent.
My brother is with them but they are definitely more expensive.

The best way to print your chart is to open your chart, then press “print screen” on your keyboard.
Open Microsoft Paint.
Edit - paste.
File - print (or print preview first).
