I need help getting past the famous Dealbook360 “you are already registered with another user” message. I had a demo expire over 6 months ago I installed on my laptop. I just got another demo using my desktop but I want to use the new demo on my laptop as well. I’m assuming there is a file stored somewhere on my laptop preventing me from logging into my new demo as a result of the installation of the first demo 6 months ago. Does anyone know where this file file is located so I can delete it or does anyone have any suggestions to get around the problem? I tried deleting Dealbook360 and re-installing it. it does not work. The file is still there somewhere. I NEED Help!
Hi Remy,
I have the same issue with Dealbook360. The only way I was able to run the software again on the same PC was to completely erase the Disk . I had to do this when my System was giving me a lot of problems. So I did a complete re-format of my disk and then re-installed my XP pro SP3 OS plus all my applications including GFT. THe GFT Demo then works again…presumably the “secret file” which indicated that the software was already once used on trial was deleted during the reformatting. Before that I tried deleting everything that came up(re GFT or Dealbook) with a SEARCH of my file system but that did not work. It’s probably a hidden file.
Have you been able to find a solution? Thanks…Regards, allanLC
Yea I finally found a fix. GFT sent me a .exe file that erases the hidden file so I can run another demo without having to do anything else. Lifesaver!!!
Hi Remy,
Good to hear you got a FIX for this issue.
I also had a demo account with GFT Dealbook 360 which has expired, and I would like to get another one, but am not able to log in with a different user name (I get the message “You are already registered with another user name”). Does anyone know hot to remove the hidden file on my computer which prevents me from opening another demo account, without having to erase and reset the computer?
I tried reinstalling Dealbook 360, but obviously that didn’t help.
the easiest way is to go on gft.com and then live support. within 5 minutes u get an operator whom you can explain your problem. he will send you the fix;-)
