Yes, MT5 is an improved version of MT4.
If you are a newbie, try to work with several platforms.
As for me, I use MT4 but I’m maybe too stuck with it to change the platform. But you can try different platforms before you are used to a certain one.
I agree, MT4/5 is still an option number one. When you begin, you shall really learn anything commonly used and widespread. Metatrader fills both slots perfectly. Moreover, if you are familiar with a metatrader platform, you may easily switch between brokers in the future. You may use some ready to use EAs or copytrading, get studies, etc.
MT4, CTrader, NinjaTrader are best IMO.
Regarding brokers it is Hotforex, Tickmill, FXCM

Hey profitbaby? Do you can I connect NinjaTrader to Tickmill? I read on NinjaTrader website that I can connect their platform to different brokers.
