Do most traders take more than 2 years to become profitable?

What’s your timeline for profitability in trading? Do most traders actually take more than 2 years to become consistently profitable?

I think it is 6 months to 2 years.
I took 1 year to be a consistently profitable trader.
How about you?

I suppose there are two ways of strategically managing success as a trader.

One is to find out what to do, and then do it. But that’s not easy when some experienced traders won’t even give you the time of day.

The other would be to find out what new traders do and then avoid doing what they do.
