so all those financial institutions who won’t even give a job interview as a trainee trader to people without a first-class-honours math degree, they all collectively have it wrong, and have done so for decades?

I think it’s true somewhat that forex is good for those who are good at maths.

Not at all, there are a lot of robots and apps that can do the mathematical things for you, you should just know what you are doing.
