every broker that i’ve looked at seems to be good at one thing but really bad in the other. so far, OANDA has been the best but their 50:1 ratio is a killer.
here are what i would like (if you know a broker that matches the description, or closely matches it, then i would be very grateful if you name it):
i want to start up with �50
at least 100:1 leverage
low deposit and withdrawal fees (a fixed �10 or a 1% fee is fine)
INSTANT execution
good trading platform/MT4 compatible
spreads at 3 pips or lower for major currency pairs
24/5 customer support
fast feed

oanda may only have 50:1 but it is plenty i do not see why you would need more i have my accounts set up on 20:1 leverage and never come close to using it. But i guess it depends on how you are going to trade.
I will say that i really like oanda i am really happy with the service been trading with them since feb 08.
heh… i found the perfect one – Alpari UK. although the minimum deposit is �200 (i think), there aren’t any deposit/withdrawal fees (apart from around �0.70 from both banks) and so i think i may be able to withdraw �130 OR just keep it there but not use it at all. everything else on that list was a fat tick.
