Dukascopy Problem

Hi Dukascopy users,

Recently I had an issue with Dukascopy JForex Platform.

In Brief, here is what happened.

I have been using JForex for some time now and rarely had problems, I had my orders settings set to trade in thousands, so It mean in the order screen when I type 1, it mean I want to trade 1 thousand of the currency pair . so very small lots as I am starting live trading.

On Feb 28th, JForex crashed and stopped working, so I re-started and some time late in the afternoon I place a trade for so 5 units (5000) as I was used to.

At my surprised when looking at the order line I realised that order had been filled for 1284000. so I got a margin call on my account limit set by security

After checking everything I realized that when I re-started JForex the system did not reload my preferred setting but the default Dukascopy settings

so the orders where established in millions.

Has anyone ever had this problem? - because Dukascopy maintain his position and says that I should have notice that the settings had changed.

Thanks for your feedback

Gerry

if you start the platform for the first time and change the trade settings to 1000 units, and then it crashed,
then I can understand why this happend. upon restart again, since it crashed it means that the platform does not remember your settings because the settings where never saved, lets say you start the platform, change the settings, and then closing it, now it should be saved, it saves on close. so next time you start it up, you should have your settings ok, even if it crash again they should still be there. this is normal stuff and nothing wrong. if on the other hand you had been using jforex a long time by starting up and closing and it still change back to default, it must be a bug. I have an account with Dukas but I have not been experiencing this yet, but I will be more cautious checking my settings now when I know this might happen. thanks
