I’d like to ask when you trade using an EA whether demo or live , do you have to leave the terminal on ?(online) or it can still operate in offline mode, that is when I close the application ?
As a beginner, you should watch the EA carefully. Most have quirks (as well MT4 is buggy). Once you have gained experience and confidence, there are alternatives.
Depends on whether you’re running on a VPS or not. If not, you need to leave the computer running as far as I know.

Don’t turn off your computer if you want trading to happen. Don’t leave your computer unattended if a trade is active.
