ECB President Trichet Says No More Stimulus

European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet said that further stimulative action was no longer needed and that the economy will begin to grow next year. Stimulative packages thus far have been “completely extraordinary” and are thus “sufficient,” he said in a radio interview with France’s Europe-1 radio. He added that “there is a moment where you cannot spend more and accumulate more debts. We are at that moment.”
