Electronic forex trading diary

Hi!

I made a little tool for the forex market, it’s in beta phase, i like to hear your opinion about the tool. Thanks in advance.

I think everybody knows the golden rule “keep your trades logged”

This program gives a solution for this problem, you can keep your trades in a simple and clean format, meanwhile you can get many useful statistics about your trades. Doing it by spreadsheet it’s very hard.

The program gives you many statistical datas , and the main datas are always on the screen, so you will be informed promptly after you log your trade.

The program gives a charts about your main statistical datas. It’s very interesting to see how your trade performance going day by day.

Yeah, one cool function, the program can import the Oanda transaction datas from your account., IMHO it’s very cool, you won’t have to types your trades by hand, you can see your statistics within some minutes. It works with demo account too.

I recommend it for a try, and waiting for you opinion.

PS: of course, if you have any good suggestion, maybe new statistical information, i will put in into the program.

Sounds great but where is it

The forum rules, won’t let me to post the url.

Maybe google is your friend

They would if you had 50 posts.

I presently use a custom excel spreadsheet that I made but its nowhere near as nice or versatile as your program.

In any case I have been checking the software out and I love how you can define your reasons for entry & exit on trades which get saved so you can use them over and over again. It makes it great to customize your system entry & exit rules. Is it possible to search for trades based on those reasons? One big feature I love would be the Oanda importing but I can't find the help file that it is referring to. The only other thing that would be nice is that I usually always enter in two orders for every trade that I take and then I have pre defined TP setup for each order. It would be useful to copy a trade or even tell it to open up two orders. That's no big deal though because I could just enter in both trades manually since sometimes they are a pip or two apart. Nice job with it. I will continue to use the free 30 days to check it out.

You can easily import your existing transactions into FXTradelog from Oanda CSV file.
Here’s the steps

1., In Oanda go to the Account - Full transaction history
2., Select the time horizon (include all trades) - Press Apply
3., goto Format - select CSV - Press Apply
4., select all the trades by the mouse (click and drag) (beginning from the Ticket,Date,Duration line, till the last line)
5., copy to clipboard
6., start notepad
7., paste it to a new document
8., save it to your disk
9., goto FXTraderlog - Tools - Import oanda
10., select your previously saved file
11., that’s all, all your transaction will be available in trade explorer

Good luck trading!

Thanks for this  It’s really a good ideea to keep a diary. As somebody who’s just started trading, keep every progress or failure logged is one of the best things I could have done.
I’m not quite there yet but I’m working my way, but remember that logging your progress is a step forward.

Best Regards,
Matt Jones .
