Experts and Indicators are not shown in MT4

Hey there.

I am quite frustrated.
For the last 2 hours I tried to add the LFH Trade Simulator (301 Moved Permanently), but the Expert does not appear in my Oanda Metatrader
I chose the right folders “experts” and “scripts”.

I also tried to add 2 custom indicators as .ex4-files in “indicators”, but they are not shown either.

Can anyone help?

Are you using the MT4 Build 600?

Yes. It is MT4 Build 600.

You may need the source files then for your ea’s then apply them in build 600.

Well, not all metatrader 4 offer by brokers allow EA on their platform but traders really need the softwere to run the trade for us when we are not there to observe the market. I do use indicators in metatrader 4 offered by broker.

"MetaQuotes has released their latest update for the MetaTrader 4 Terminal, Build 600. As a result of this update any Expert Advisors (EAs) that you may use may have been affected due to the change of language and the location of specific folders.

In order to minimize any disruption to your trading activities we advise you to save your EAs and indicators to the new folder which is located at: (BROKER NAME) MT4 > MQL4 > Experts/Indicators.

The next step is to ensure that your EAs and Indicators maintain compatibility with the new language. To do this you should request the latest version of the source code from your EA provider. However, if you have coded your EA yourself, please follow the steps below:

  1. Launch the (BROKER NAME) MT4
  2. On the main menu navigate to Tools > MetaQuotes Language Editor
  3. In the new window that opened, navigate to View > Navigator
  4. Locate your EA and double click on it to access the EA script
  5. Click on Compile from the toolbar. The action will be confirmed by a message in the Toolbox window at the bottom.
  6. When the process is completed, please close and reopen the (BROKER NAME) MT4. Provided you encountered no errors, you will now be able to continue using your EA normally."

Hi All
I am new to System Testing but i was using the MT4i Trading’ Simulator with the old version of MT4.
I have updated to version 4 build 610 and I cant place trades on the simulator.
I get a warning 'this software is for use only in MT4 visual mode only’
The message on the chart says:'The terminal cannot load. Please turn on’allow DLL inputs’
I have done this but it still doesnt work.
When i run the Simualor it updated each day/hour etc with new bars, but I cant enter trades.
I tried the suggestions by ETFAK and ie showed errors
Any suggestions?
