I have had FFM running on my live account since Feb. 1st. So far it has been doing well. All the trades below that are eur/usd trades have been from FFM.

As far as i know ffm had started in 2005 or 2006 didn’t work then doesn’t work now.
Go to myfxbook and type ffm in search you Will get the results.
I am planning to start a new test how do i start a new thread?
Any ideas?

A little bit of a necro-post to drag this thread back up I know, but I’ve dug up this EA again for some testing.

I’ve learned a lot about backtesting and optimization(aka how to actually do them) since the time that I removed this EA. It does backtest amazingly well(both on Metaquotes and Alpari UK backtest info). There is a template within the manual setup files that allows you to call up the indicators used as well as I’ve been utilizing the visual backtest through mt4 to watch it trade. Its sad to say, but I never actually understood why this EA had hedging until I watched it on a chart…I feel like I was a total noob :wink:

There is something to this strategy, but a key problem is that it utilizes a Fracticals indicator which seems extreamly broker dependant. This was known with a week of release, and the EA developer sent out an email saying to test out different filter settings. I doubt 99% of people bothered and fell under the “If it doesnt work on default its not for me”, so given the massive over lotsize trading this EA does on default(especially across 5 pairs) a small dd on each caused big account drops and this EA was dropped.

What i’m doing: Spending the time to test out different filter settings utilizing just one pair, EURUSD. I’ve got FFM running on 5 different instances at a range of filter settings to compare how different settings affect overall profitability. Of course the lot size is minimized, but the goal here is to compare filter settings with profitability(specifically on my broker).

As for timeline, i’m in no hurry and will give it at least a month of testing prior to any true analysis…but If I find anything iinteresting I’ll report back :wink:

you are wasting your time it is the same as MDP EA and both are useless
