Since there have been a lot of push to adapt Federalism in the country, I’ve been reading more about it again. 
As far as I know, the idea of federalism for the Philippines was suggested by Jose Rizal, a popular name in the Philippines. The idea of the government is to divide the power between the central government and local state governments.
Oh really? That’s interesting. 
I guess that would have worked much better during his time when the resources were much more fairly divided? I’m not sure it would still work even with the country’s current reality. By any chance, are you Filipino?
