Reminder: FinCen wants to know when you transfer your holdings off -exchange, to a personal wallet or to someone else. They suggesting either to require exchanges to record this personal information when transfer amounts exceed USD $10,000 daily (much like traditional banks need to do right now), or just record any transaction of USD $3k or over.
Of course there’s pushback!
Politicians on both sides of the aisle are against such as thing, as are industry players, understandably.
France, the Netherlands and Switzerland already have strict wallet rules.
