Finding a reliable broker

I’m currently 19 looking for a reliable broker. However, searching through the internet gets very confusing and thus i hope you guys can help me.

I tried to ask Oanda ask i have a demo account with them but then realise that i have to be 21 years old. A few other companies gave me the same answer.

I’m from Singapore just to give everyone an idea and thus i even went the find DBS Vickers Securities as i trust DBS.

I’m trying to find a company that allows me to start up an account at my age. At the same time, i want a reliable broker that is trustworthy enough for me to know that i can deposit and withdraw money and make trades without any worries.

So i really hope someone could help me…

As of now, the companies that i’ve asked,

  1. Oanda
  2. GFT Asia
  3. Instaforex (they said the age requirement is 18, but are they reliable?)
    4)DBS Vickers
  4. POEMS Singapore

Any other good recommendations?

in my side oanda is the best

I’m from Singapore too. There’s another one you can look at which I’m currently trying - think or swim sg.

Vickers & poems is more for stocks and shares.

I’ve called them and they told me that i’ve to be above 21. I may consider opening 1 under my parent’s name then. Thanks for the help.

Thanks, i’ll check it out.

By the way, can anyone tell me if Instaforex is reliable?

Hi Frozeblaze,

I heard Instaforex is quite famous in South East Asia, but I also heard it is very unreliable. Open up Google and type in “Instaforex review”, and just read all the comments about Instaforex. Some sites even said that Instaforex is a scam…

Yup, that’s what I heard too. For me, I just stick with Oanda. It seems that after searching through so many websites, Oanda still seems the most trustworthy. Furthermore, they have a Singapore branch.
