Hello everyone!!! I am not only new to FX trading but new to the trading world… Any tips on what I should look out for is welcome!!!
Welcome to the forex world and BabyPips.com community!
I suggest you start with the School of Pipsology and open up a demo account to get your feet wet about the industry. Then it’s the popular newbie threads in the Newbie Island section for the basic trading strategies.
Good luck and have fun trading!
My only advice is that invest in some trading psychology education, it goes a long way to ensuring you remain profitable in live trading after you transit from demo trading
Welcome-
Be cognizant that trading is not going to “make you rich overnight” - or even in a week or a month.
Those who live to trade another day are the ones smart enough to manage their risk properly from the onset.
Understanding all aspects of risk management (especially how to leverage yourself) is a great place to start on learning how to trade.
Trading can be quite emotional for some the first few times the market stings them. That sting is necessary though - you’re going to have to learn from your mistakes, and sometimes, it is at the expense of your physical capital, as well as mental.
My Advice,
avoid opening real trading account for first 6 months - that can save you some money as you are on the very first stage of learning.
Learn with demo - BUT - do it properly. I.e.: do a trading plan before each trade, and keep a journal. Without “pland&journal” your learning with demo will be a waste of time.
And as FOREXunlimited said (I totally agree) - forget about “fast money” - manage your risks.
Regarding Risk Management - My Advice: start looking for trades with 1:5 ratio right away (it will be easier later if you start it now).
Good Luck!
