Does anyone have some information as to whether the FOMC minutes release is a trade-able news event for short term trades? I’m specifically looking into how EUR/USD is effected by FOMC Minutes 30 minutes and 1.5 hrs after its release.
Unlike its counterpart the FOMC Meetings + Yellen’s speech, perhaps the minutes doesn’t influence the market enough to capitalize on any swings?
Today there are 4 more news releases in United States. We can expect good for dollar from these news releases. It supports USD pairs. Basically short term trades not suitable when news releases occurs. There is a chance for the movement of both sides. If you trade SELL, the signal moves to Uptrend and vice versa.
So, you have to wait for half an hour to trade the news releases.
My suggestion does not trade in high demand economic news such as FOMC minutes and NFP report. On the short-term timeframe the volatility is very high and maybe you are going to lose the trade from the big spread.
