Forex and Bitcoin - 2 peas in a pod?

Hi everyone

  1. Do forex traders like/dislike volatility? Why?
  2. Have you tried Bitcoin trading? If so, is it similar to trading currency? If you haven’t tried Bitcoin trading, why not?

Thanks!
JD

  1. Yes, we like. Volatility creates price action.
  2. No. Why? Because the rate can be too much influenced by a small group of traders and because the exchanges have a bad name. To me it is like dealing in a low volume stock: Trades can (when not a lot of counter trades available) influence the price too much. Also you may come in the situation where you want to get rid of your bitcoins but there a not a lot of people to take it over from you (what results in a price fluctuation as well). And a bitcoin has a higher change to become worthless than almost all currencies. I just don’ t like digital currencies as I don’ t like low volume stock trading.
