Forex brokers... no encryption

I’m amazed by forex brokers.

FXCM: SSL cert goes to .hs.llnwd.net. Can’t verify the identity. Try it.
I would suspect most customers are using unencrypted connections. Do this over wifi and anyone with the key can see your account. Doing financial transactions unencrypted…? Really?

AvaTrade (AvaFX): sirixweb.avatrade.com is plain text. No https (SSL), no lock icon.

Seems pretty poor. Even I can setup a website with SSL (buy the cert for £50) and I’m an idiot.

Thanks for your post, I think we should trade at home. But do you mean those brokers don’t have HTTPS?

That’s right, no https - one doesn’t have https for most of it’s sote, the other doesn’t have a cert matching it’s domain.

Everything in finance seems out of date software wise. Coming from Bitcoin it’s quite a culture change

You’re correct. People are dealing with money here. HTTPS should be a standard for sites dealing with money.

Agree with this

You right mithcd, I think something should be done about it to make sure our money is save under any brokerage firm.
