Forex + Education

I’m thinking of furthering my career, because i can’t sit here in my job entering data for the rest of my life.

In an ideal world, i’d be able to trade Forex for a living in the future.

I was thinking of maybe taking A Level Economics, because i figured this could help me with Forex trading aswell. Having some knowledge of how the economy works could come in handy when forex trading?

Are there any other grades that could help towards Forex trading aswell?

Maybe mathematics etc…

Absolutely No Use whatsoever, first thing you got to do is just get stuck in, then have a think about your approach, decide first are you looking to Scalp - short term trades, day trades, or longer.

Psychology comes into it more than knowledge!

It’s a long haul and there just isn’t a case of the more you learn the better you’ll get.

Thats Fair enough.

Thought i may aswell ask, before i look to further my education. Was thinking i could incorporate something that would help with Forex aswell.

Maybe i should forget about going back to college and spend all my time studying Forex

Do both! at least then when you finish college you’re more likely to be able to earn a living. I trade a very simple method, I’ve posted it on this site 301 Moved Permanently , also more stuff on my website.

Thanks. I’ll check it out

From my experience, i can say that what i´ve learned from my own is more valuable that the things i learned in college…

Just read and practice, and after a while when you reach a top, then consider increasing your knowledgement.

I’d say the subjects most of use to traders and those looking to understand the forex market is macroeconomics, statistics, psychology, and finance. I’m not saying you need a degree, but knowledge in those areas can come in handy.

Math and physics if you want to be a quant. Though, don’t be surprised if people start to hate you.
