Why is it that although the American market opens at 13:00 London time on this site, the American stock market starts at 14:30 and most of the fluctuations and movements of the market begin at this time?My question is, is the beginning of the American market different from the beginning of the stock market?
What “American” market opens at 8am New York?
It’s said that the NY “forex session” opens at 8.00 ET.

Maybe when some banks open. I know all the big banks have 24hr trading desks, and the US session guys start positioning around 5-6am in NY depending how Asia and London went. If the markets are dead, they may start as late as 8am NY.
