I had mine set for a long time at .15, just changed it on monday to .18 risk.
remember, if a loss is hit, the bot doubles up till it has made up the loss.

Trade again… MD should calm down a bit.
Edit:
LOL I saw that the SL was only 40pips and since I had my risk reduced to 0.1 I made a manual trade with the same SL/TP when trade was red. Ended up MD closed the trade at breakeven and when I was going to close my trade, I accidentally opened a short trade instead >___< And when I was going to end my short trade… MD opened a short trade too! So I let my 2nd trade go… and after 1min MD’s 2nd trade hit TP so I closed my trade too Was playing poker at the same time so messed up everything
I saw your post and checked mine about half an hour after to have no trades then as I was looking mine went short at 1.21776 and took 10 pip in less than 15 seconds…I hope it stops trading now as its at a support level and if in a trade you wouldn’t want to be on the wrong side of it if it bounces or breaks through.
3553->4573 this month woah! Almost 29% sick sick.
What “bot” do you talk of? I’m interested as I really don’t want to experience such a huge loss when I finally go live!
Thanks!
Hey Dono,
Thanks for your reply the other day mate.
I was demo’ing from a couple days back… did you experience those two/three big losses from back then till last night?
Small win last night… up $63. Lets hold thumbs for the last trade of the week.
No, so far this week I think I have had 2 x T/P’s at about 21 pips in total.
don’t rely on this robot making u money forever…

I am using megadroid pro and want to set the lots from the default .1 to .05
and leave risk level at .1 but my demo with Beam still traded .1
why?
One of the experts can correct me, but you will have to change your risk level to 0, in order for Megadroid to use the “set” value in the lot size.
Thanks, i just reset my charts that way, i’ll see.
Last nite my Beam new demo with $600 set at .05 but apparently traded .1 blew my acct out with forced closes at big losses by 5:08 beam time gmt+1 and it was only set up at 24:00 5 hrs earlier.
Unfortunately my Gallant demo acct with $1300 (and started 24 hrs earlier at 1,000) and running .1 froze overnite also at around 5:08 gmt+1 so i never was able to see what was happening overnite–maybe the pullbacks on the small acct trading .1 were too big to keep the acct liquid so thr demo sold it off at big losses but the bigger Gallant acct would have ridden them out until they reversed and hit the tp’s?
What’s the point in changing both? It will only use one of them (risk level in this case, I think) anyway, regardless of the lotsize. See the manual for the robot for details.
my demo with iamfx now trades .05 after your help, but my gallant demo with te same settings still only enters at .1–any ideas?
i was going to open a gallant acct, but not unless i can trade .05. until i cangrow my acct to 1000 and raise it to .1
Sorry, no idea. I remember reading somewhere about limitations regarding this. But it might be broker or demo related. Have you tried contacting Gallant? My personal experience is that 10% for your small account will be “safe”. I never go below that. I used to trade with a “stupid” broker (high spreads); started with $600, and only had 2 losses in 6 months.
Acting on BIG financial news when markets are getting a knock is the best advice that I can give you. I set my Megadroid to confirm DLL requests so that I don’t “loose” the trend which also give me an idea if I made the “right” decision.
Hope that you will keep us posted on your decision(s) and results!
I’m using Megadroid on a demo account. Is there any reason why the Megadroid never goes above 1 lot? I can try to manually set it, but I never get more than a full lot. It seems like you’re missing out on exponential gain with this limitation.
it was my choice of server. Gallant said to open the file menu and click open an acct then in the popup under where the phone is filled in, pick the other server GFX5, then just drag the symbols back onto each chart–but the settings arent lost in the transition so its easy.
there havent been any trades since so i cant verify it works, but it sounds good.
That file, open acct etc… is also the way to refund a demo acct without uninstalling and redoing it like i thought i needed to do before.
I dont understand the DLL parts.
I know that tues at 10am EST my demo got creamed with the economic release by trades just before and at 10:00 by a few symbols on megadroid so yesterday about 9:30 i set them to not trade the 9-11 window and things were fine since the home sales had no effect on trading for my demo.
Its possible that the last trade was a loss and it doubles up till its ahead again. Takes about 4 wins most times at double the trade lots to regain the loss. Did you stop the bot when you reset the lot size and then restart it?
I changed mine from a risk of .15 this week to .18 and i think thats as high as I will go. one lost and over 34 wins…
its not a recovery thing, and forex.com, iamfx are doing it fine.
I reset everything on gallant, made sure livetrading is checked which it wasnt that first hour etc… and its been 90 min since and still no trades, but forex.com with the same settings has made over a dozen trades with megadroid.
i wanted gallant because they now have a deal with a friend’s forum as of yesterday for tight spreads, but who cares about spreads if there arent any ways to use them by entering. i’ll give gallant until the market breaks and reopens with new zealand tonite.
