Forex related degrees

Hello,

I was just wondering whether anyone knew of any forex related degrees, or any training programmes opposed to going to university?

Kind regards,
Liam

Forex is generally dealt with in finance and economics programs as parts of courses like macroeconomics and international finance. You won’t find a specialty forex academic program, though. It’s just too narrow.

I have the same question…why there is not a master degree in Forex. From my point of view it is not a narrow field since Forex moves 4 trillion dollars every day.

Imagine taking a course “Support/Resistance 101” or “MA cross strategies 101.”

Or " How to blow $5000 in just one trade"

LOL I took this course once too many times.

Trading volume has nothing to do with academic breadth.

The fact of the matter is that you could learn in one semester’s worth of coursework the fundamental factors underpinning the forex market, which are basically those taught in a macroeconomics course. Stuff like triangular arbitrage gets addressed in international finance and takes about 5 minutes to teach.

Let’s face it, forex is a conceptually simple market.

Relate-able fields would be statistics, mathematics and computer science

you can create your own major if you’re that good of a student

I’m genuinely confused as to what you’re referring to…

As to creating your own degree, here’s an example:
University College :: Design Your Own Degree :: University of Memphis
