Well, I have been on this Forex Journey for about a year and half now. My first account I was smart enough to pull out the last $1000 dollars to preserve equity. I bought a couple of forex courses and seemed to have a better understanding. So, I started another account limiting myself to $500 dollars.Over the course of a couple of months grew it to $800 dollars and decided to put another $1000 dollars in it. To make the story shorter I have invested a total of $3000 dollars into this account. Now I am 50-50 on win lose ratio. I still have the same equity that I invested. Which I feel is a milestone. I stumbled onto ICT’s thread and it has been a Godsend. I realized that I didn’t know the market but also to what extent. He has given everyone on the thread a literal goldmine and the tools to mine it. But, we have to do the footwork or should I say chartwork. He mentioned Chris Lori several times so I signed up on his free site and added his account to my Twitter account. On Jan 14 this year Chris twitted something that opened my eyes even more. The title was, " What it takes to sit through a GBP/USD trade? Focus on the task." What I took from this video was something that was an eye opener not after I watched the video but On a Monday morning waking me up from a deep sleep. I realized that I was cheating myself in thinking that I could only invest a little time in understanding something so complex. I have done many things in life that has required a lot of effort so why could this journey be any different. It takes focus and discipline. I looked back on a time that I was trying real hard to learn a concept. I had to equate Forex with playing Darts. Or should I say the effort into learning the game had to be as intense.I was determined after being exposed to playing darts that I was going to master it. Every night that I was off work I was playing the game averaging 4 hours a night and all day every weekend. I would challenge the Masters to game after game losing the game but gaining valuable knowledge.I learned the games inside and out so after 18 months I could hold my own with any master. Not winning but making them have to work to beat me. I raised many eyebrows when playing them when they found out how long I had played. If I had another 6 months of playing I would have been beating them. But, duty called and I was transfered to Panama. So, I am investing that same drive and determination into learning this market. I challenge everyone reading this to pick a point in your life you were blindly driven for a goal to put forth the same effort. If this gets to only one person then this letter has fullfilled its pourpose.
