Fundamental sources

Yesterday the prices of many pairs fluctuated a lot. Seeing larger moves than the usual intra day, I looked at my usual fundamental sources to try to understand what was going on. I didn’t find the reason.

It is only after the high volatility period ended that my sources gave me the answer: a taper update.

I didn’t had any real bad consequences for me, but put me in doubt yesterday. I wish I would have known ow earlier the mayhem was from a taper move. If you knew early, from which source you got the info? Please share your good fundamental sources.

I personally read reuters, bloomberg and ft, but discard most articles. Maybe i am not looking at the right place on these sites. I read FF calendar. I got an app on my phone for for ex news but it doesn’t give more info than the websites named earlier. Do you know any fast news feed, or maybe a chat room to get early info?

Did you try The news | Forex news | Credit Forex Futures

Thank you;) Not exactly what I am looking for as I am not at home during the day, but I may try it for the news to an inbox feature, and see if that kind of feed works well on my smart phone.
Are you using it yourself? When did you get the taper info as an example?

Edit: I cannot find their detail pricing. I seen it goes up to 350$ monthly. That would be too expensive for what I am looking for.

Forex factory calendar is the best thing. Look at what is coming up on Sunday night for the week and if you see a file in red then just avoid trading around those times. An hour either side should do it.

Check out forexlive.com as well! It’s a little delayed sometimes though, but there’s often more detail.
