FxClub - Act Trader

Anyone use ForexClub for a broker? How about the ActTrader platform?

I see that MT4 is quite the popular choice, but how about the broker/platform I specified above? I never really hear talk about them from anyone, although, I have not been trolling these forums for very long.

Thanks.

Hi,

Well I don’t know about ForexClub. Look on Forex Peace Army (forexpeacearmy.com) for trader reviews and ratings (and whatever other reviews and ratings sites you can but FPA is the ‘de facto standard’ and ‘well policed’). Somewhere ‘in the back of my mind’ though I seem to remember reading some ‘not too good things’ about ForexClub (but I stand to be corrected i.e. nowadays there seems to be more on-line FOREX brokers than there are traders so it’s becoming increasingly difficult to keep track).

ACTForex: my VERY first broker (‘lowlife bottom feeder bucketshop’) used to ONLY offer an early version of ACTForex’s trading platform (this was just over six years ago). But I see it is FAST ‘catching up’ to MetaTrader ‘slowly but surely under the radar’ (I still have my old accounts open for that very reason i.e. to check on the latest improvements to ACTForex’s trading platform). It now has all the functions of MetaTrader and more. Frankly and given the choice: I’d trade with ACTForex’s trading platform before I even looked at MetaTrader. BUT THE CAVEAT: it doesn’t matter HOW good the trading platform is it’s a question of the integrity of the broker. That’s more important than anything. You can trade using the most ‘beautiful’ and ‘functional’ trading platform on the planet: if the broker is a ‘lowlife thief’ you’re still going to lose your money.

But yes: I think MetaQuotes is going to be in for a BIG surprise one of these days (if they’re not already worried) about ACTForex’s trading platform.

Dale.

Thank you for your reply Dale.

I have traded with FXClub for 2 years now, although I am not a profitable trader yet, (step 1… beat the statistics and be alive in 2 years!!!), I have checked their NFA ID# through the NFA Basic site and it has one regulatory action for “office record keeping”. I thought that wasn’t too bad when considering what I found when I checked against some other prominent brokers. Higher volume of traders with the others should be considered also. There is another site where you can check up on the capital the broker holds and although those also looked good, so did REFCO’s, right?

I do like ActTrader alot and when FXClub started supporting MT4 I looked into making a switch because of it’s popularity. In the end I think I am better suited sticking with what I know.

I like, as noted, very MUCH ACTForex’s trading platform. It’s very ‘clean’ for want of a better word and gives you WAY more functionality (using their ‘tabs’ idea) especially if your watching multiple markets etc. My ONLY problem with it and I still cannot figure out WHY they’ve not remedied this after all the new stuff they’ve added is that they don’t give you the indicator readings or values as you move the cursor over the indicator i.e. you have to zoom in on the indicator and ‘approximate’ based on the Y-Axis. It’s never made sense to me. At one point I even tried to edit some of the indicators in order to give an ‘on the fly’ reading for something as simple as RSI but ‘no go’ i.e. the best I could get displayed was the current (last) value. Maybe somebody should make this suggestion to them (although I find it hard to believe it’s not something they’ve thought of).

ONE thing I can say for it: it’s probably the only ‘off the shelf’ trading platform that ACTUALLY calculates Parabolic SAR CORRECTLY!!! LOL!!! How about that!!! LOL!!!

Dale.

First of all if you are NOT American citizen or resident in the USA, CFTC registered and NFA member won’t serve in anything!!
This company is a bucket-shop. They are pretty dishonest and have deceptive trade practices and fraudulent unfair practices.
With their IT department they created a sinister software to take you at least for every trade 4 pips and to allow them to froze the trading platform called Act Trader to avoid you to take you gain.
Peter Tatarnikov the CEO is an untruthful person. I advised him about the unfair and dishonest practices of his company he answered me that he is going to take care about it and see the trouble with his IT department, but 3 months later I was still waiting. I had recorded during many days the activity of the trading platform, when I send him two videos, the same day my computer couldn’t find the file of the act trader platform and I had to download it again from their website.
About the founder of the company Michael Felice, President and Principal of the firm, he was associate of Index Futures Group (doing business as Jack Carl/312-Futures) with 71 CFTC REPARATIONS CASES and 11 REGULATORIES ACTIONS.
He was associate of Balfour Maclaine Futures Inc with “only” 41 CFTC REPARATIONS CASES and 18 REGULATORIES ACTIONS.
And for the others companies where he was associate usually there were regulatory actions for:
• FINANCIAL
• OFFICE RECORDKEEPING
• SALES PRACTICE
• NFA GENERAL DISCIPLINARY ACTION
• CFTC ADMINISTRATIVE ACTION

Forex Club until now as only one Regulatory action in February 2010 ( FINANCIAL, OFFICE RECORDKEEPING) but the most “funny” is the status of Michael Felice on the NFA website:
• PRINCIPAL WITHDRAWN 07/26/2010
• NFA ASSOCIATE MEMBER WITHDRAWN 07/26/2010
• ASSOCIATED PERSON WITHDRAWN 07/26/2010
• FOREX ASSOCIATED PERSON APPROVED 12/02/2011
• ASSOCIATED PERSON REGISTERED 03/01/2011
• NFA ASSOCIATE MEMBER APPROVED 03/01/2011
As you can see after the regulatory action he wasn’t principal and associate of Forex Club neither NFA associate member and one year later he is “coming back”!!

They just scammed me they stole me more than 50.000,00usd, I opened a scam alert folder on forex peace army and a case and the verdict came: GUILTY

scam alert folder:
scam-alerts-folder/18353-carefull-forex-club-racketing-word-they-know-very-well.html

verdict:
GUILTY Case# 2012-004 | maxruben vs fxclub.com

Take a look of the videos, I hope this information can avoid others traders to get"caught" like I did.
If you want more proofs just ask me.

PS: if you make some good research on the web you will see that FxClub is more Russian than American

Whoa, sorry for the act of necroposting but I cannot pass by without any comment. Mr maxruben overwhelmed all of Forex forums with his own case of ‘fraud’ with FX Club but when I tried to sent him a PM, he didn’t answer.

A bit later I found an explanation of his activity - someone said that this event was organised by FC competitors.

For now I could say that their ActTrader is a great platform with great opporrtunities.

Cheers.
