I just left my EA to run to open a trade on JPN225 but I got the error code 4112 which apparently means
Automated trading by Expert Advisors/Scripts disabled by trade server
Does anyone know what that means? I have been having some very worrying experiences lately with my trading and FXCM. I am wondering if this could be done on purpose by the broker?

If you have a Mini Account, note that automated trading is not available on this account type. In order to run and EA, you willl need to switch to a Standard Account.
If you already have a Standard account with FXCM UK, then note that regulations require you to complete a Copy Trading Suitability Form before running any EAs on a your trading account. You will find that form on MyFXCM.com, and, once you fill it out, you’ll be able to use your EA.
