Changes to CFDs Trading Hours on Thanksgiving
Dear Traders,
Please note that due to the celebration of Thanksgiving in the USA trading hours on November 23-24, 2017 will be changed as follows:
Thursday, November 23rd, 2017
Forex pairs - normal trading hours;
Metals - trading ends at 20:00 (GMT+2);
Oil and Gas - trading ends at 19:45 (GMT+2);

Trading Hours on Christmas and New Year 2018

Normal trading hours for all financial instruments.
Crypto currencies will be traded without changes throughout the whole Christmas and New Year season.
Between December 26, 2017 and January 2, 2018 the leverage for Forex pairs may be decreased by 5 times its original value. For example, from 1:500 down to 1:100.
On January 2nd the leverage can be increased back to the normal level. STP and Micro account owners can change the leverage via Settings > Profile in My FXOpen area. ECN account owners should contact [email protected] to have their leverage reverted back to normal. For Crypto accounts, leverage will remain the same as usual (1:3).
Please, consider these changes when planning your trading activities during the festive season.
Changes to FXOpen Trading Hours on US Martin Luther King Day

Deposits and Withdrawals via cryptocurrency Emercoin are now available with FXOpen. Learn more on the website.
FXOpen adds pairs with Bitcoin Cash, Ripple, Ethereum Classic, Monero, NEO, IOTA, EOS, and OMNI to Crypto accounts. With the latest additions, the total of 39 currency pairs is now available on Crypto accounts.
On March 11th, 2018 FXOpen will switch its trading servers 1 hour ahead, from GMT +2 to GMT +3.
The change will affect all types of FXOpen trading accounts. In ECN, STP and Micro accounts summer time will take effect starting with the market opening on Monday, March 12th, 2018.
In Crypto accounts, where trading is available during the weekend, traders will experience the change immediately after it occurs, on Sunday, March 11th, 2018.
The changing of server time should not impact your open trades or the process of opening, placing, closing and modifying orders. However, keep this in mind when planning your trading and do not forget to adjust the time settings in your Indicators and Expert Advisors.
FXOpen Reduces SWAP for Crypto accounts from 18% down to 10%.
How to calculate SWAP?
SWAP is the fee that the broker charges when a position remains open overnight. On the night from Wednesday to Thursday triple SWAP is charged.
Unlike FIAT accounts, in Crypto accounts SWAP is calculated in percent per annum. Since swaps need to be calculated every day at the end of the trading session, the amount of the annual interest rate is divided by 360.
FXOpen enhances the range of financial instruments by adding new pairs with EOS to Crypto accounts: EOS/USD, EOS/EUR, EOS/JPY and EOS/GBP.
With the latest additions, the broker now offers the total of 43 currency pairs on Crypto accounts.

The broker notes that it only uses @fxopen.com and @fxopenasia.com mail domains for communication with its clients. If you receive an email from FXOpen but from another domain it is most likely to be fraudulent. Also, the broker draws your attention to the fact that the authentic form of registration with FXOpen is only available on the main official website and the domains on other languages available from the official website. FXOpen advises you to keep your login details safe and not to disclose them to third parties.

FXOpen Announces the Launch of MetaTrader 5.
Important: Only ECN trading accounts are currently supported in MetaTrader 5.
Trading conditions on MT5 ECN accounts are the same as for regular ECN accounts.

FXOpen will raise margin for GBP pairs on December 10th
Dear Traders,
We would like to remind you that the UK parliament will vote on the EU Withdrawal Bill on 11th December 2018. There is a high degree of uncertainty as to the outcome of the vote and all GBP currency crosses are likely to experience significant volatility with increased risk of market gaps.
Due to this FXOpen is going to increase margin requirements up to 5 times their normal values for all GBP pairs. Changes will take effect starting with the market opening on December 10th, 2018 without further notice.
We are taking this measure to reduce your risk due to the potential high volatility, rapid price movements or market gaps that may occur in case of further political escalation. Please consider this information in your trading and ensure you have sufficient funds on your account to maintain your positions.

ECN account owners should contact the Finance department to have their leverage reverted back to normal. For Crypto accounts, leverage will remain the same as usual (1:3).

MetaTrader Update Required
After 1 March 2019, MetaTrader 4 desktop terminal builds below 1118 and MetaTrader 4 Android terminals below 1104 will no longer be supported. Older terminals will not be able to connect to FXOpen trading servers.
We recommend updating your servers to build 1170 released on December 20, 2018. The update features error fixes and platform stability improvements.
On March 10th FXOpen MetaTrader Switches to Summer Time (GMT+3)
On March 10th, 2019 FXOpen will switch its trading servers 1 hour ahead, from GMT +2 to GMT +3.
The change will affect all types of FXOpen trading accounts. In ECN, STP and Micro accounts summer time will take effect starting with the market opening on Monday, March 11th, 2019. In Crypto accounts, where trading is available during the weekend, traders will experience the change immediately after it occurs, on Sunday, March 10th, 2019.
