downloaded and installed on a fxcm demo with my older smartfx products. i saw only 1 input on the options palette (lot size)
con you tell us how to set stop loss and all of those things?
i’m waiting for instructions about currency time frame, etc.

The EA trades on the 30 minute charts for the following pairs. AUDUSD, EURJPY, EURUSD, GBPJPY, GBPUSD, USDCAD, USDCHF & USDJPY.
The EA opens and closes the trades based on ema crossovers on multiple timeframes and ADX levels, so there is no input for the SL, TP, etc.
I set the EA to trade on the following pairs:
AUDUSD, EURJPY, GBPJPY, GBPUSD, USDCAD, USDCHF.

no sl. hmmm and what is the max drawdown or money management etc?

This is a testing phase so I haven’t a clue yet! Only put the EA on a demo account myself on Thursday.

aidy can you add a magic number?
so we can analyze results better.
btw i think this needs a stop loss because if the vps shuts down or the system freezes or something, i can loose big money.

The EA automatically generates a magic number based on the currency pair and the timeframes.
When the trades open, the last 2 digits in the comment is the magic number for that pair imeframe.
I agree with your thoughts on having a stoploss, I’m am looking at using the ATR for setting a SL so it will probably be in the next testing release. I will let you know when it’s out, probably in a week or 2 but I will let you know.
I haven’t see it take any trades yet.
Is it on a demo account & the 30 min chart? There have been loads of trades today, I’ve had 12 so far.
Are EAs and live trading enabled, etc?
I’ll have to double check the settings, but as far as I remember, they were good to go… The SmartFX EAs have traded on this account, it’s a demo w/ OANDA. I didn’t attach it to the EURUSD or the USDJPY charts…

I double-checked that the EAs were attached to the 30min charts, as well they are all set ready for trading, though it still appears as though they haven’t traded.

Is it possible to if I can setup a remote control session with you and get connected to your computer to have a look? I will also send you another copy that adds a SL after the trade opens.
Hi Everyone,
Just a quick update on the chart below, up until now I have been using 0.01 lot sizes and last night I added money management risking 1% of my account, and also a SL of 15pips.
So far trading has been good and today I have taken 65.3pips on a demo, and 53.8 on a real account.

Hey Aidy, is the EA NFA compliant, as IBFX is an American Broker with the no-hedging rules. You and I are in the wrong timezones, when your awake I’m asleep, so a remote-access session is probably not going to work out.
All I did was attach the EA to the charts mentioned, got the ‘smiley’ face and figured it was good to go…
