Hi guys, It just happened a few minutes ago, I was using their forextrader application (The worst around, stay away!!!, use Oanda instead for charting if you have to use forex.com) and I made a couple trades on GBP/USD, after the close I got a $90 positive P/L and I had a balance of $4,306.15 but on my account it showed $4,216.15, I talked with Walter, and after a few minutes of explaining him the problem, the application chanhed and I was left with $90 negative.
I was lucky to record this on video, leave a message to see the video.
Stay away from them, they will steal your money.
This is the second time, the first I was away from my computer, when I get back I had a new EU/USD trade runnind and I lost $680, sounds impossible???, and the worst the application was frozen.
Same problem i met yesterday, suddenly mt4 open a trade without my permission, EUR/JPY, luckily that i closed the position immediatly then lost only $50. i still wonder where was that trade come from???
i open account with forex.com too. i’ll pay more attention to my profit and loss now.
Dear Friends,
The same here… Many times… Big Losses!!! Nobody replies anymore…
However, I opened a Demo account with a fake name and I was immediately contacted about the great opportunities that the Broker offers.
Today, March 11th, 2010… their MetaTrader has shut down…
Now clear answers… Very scary… More Big Losses To Come??? I wonder…
Anyway…
What is going to be done about it???
Just cry like a baby or do some Class Action Lawsuit?
Best Luck To All Of Us!
I have been using Fx Oanda for years, and they are awesome. I love their tight spreads. There charting platform is very basic. I prefer metatraders metatrader for charting, but I use Fx Oanda for execution when I am buying currencies the traditional way.
I got lucky 2 years ago. Forex.com held a meeting/seminar/signup in the western suburbs of Mpls. I signed up but discovered I left my checkbook at home so I mailed them a check the next day. It came back about 10 days later with a Post Office rubber stamp - “Address Unknown - Undeliverable.” One of the meeting guys called a few days later and asked if I was sending a check; when I told him what had happened he said to send to him personally and he “would take care of it.” I didn’t. As I said, I got lucky 2 yrs ago. d
edit: my bad, it was 3 yrs ago last fall. But I still think I’m lucky I couldn’t/didn’t sign up.
Contact the NFA regarding your problems with Forex.com. Last year, Gain Capital, which is Forex.com, was fined by the NFA for about half a million dollar due to unfair slippage and some other biggies. Here’s the link to the case: News & Notices | NFA. You guys need to speak up!
Well, since you’re still around trading you either are doing something right or you have unlimited funds. Who did you finally decided to go with? Someone who probably didn’t ask you to have the check made out to them personally I bet…
I opened a demo account and guess what? I was losing money with both the long and short position.
I believe, and note this is just my opinion, that they make you lose in order to make you deposit more money with them, paying more spreads, and finally lose again to repeat the process.
Yes, there are forex scams like this:
"In Israel there are more than 20 active forex companies, a high number for the size of the population as a number of them operate from Israel but focus on attracting foreign customer ( HFX Forex is an example). In one incident, a client sued the firm Easy Forex, alleging that it paid brokers bonuses when clients lost money and fined brokers when clients made a profit. A television report quoted an Easy Forex broker saying, “I had this evil grin on my face one day, when a client lost $35,000 in a quarter of an hour. A guy gets wiped out - I get my commission. A guy comes up a winner and turns a profit - I pay.”
